I am the director of the preschool program in the Greenwich Public Schools. I have been a preschool teacher and elementary special education teacher with a focused background in literacy. Our initiative in the public schools is pre-literacy and literacy skills using the Wilson Reading Program's Fundations curriculum in combination with our general education curriculum, Creative Curriculum. Together with six teacher-leaders, we created planners and activities to supplement these skills by embedding literacy across the day. Our mantra has been directly taken from Fundations - "Exposure, Not Mastery" with an emphasis on writing as part of the learning.

I am an early childhood educator with experience working closely with young children, families, and teaching teams. I am passionate about building strong relationships, supporting family engagement, and creating warm, inclusive learning environments. I am especially interested in how communication, documentation, and thoughtful use of technology can strengthen trust between schools and families while supporting educators in their daily work. I bring a practical, relationship-centered approach to professional development, with a focus on strategies that are realistic, meaningful, and easy to apply in early childhood settings.

I am the ECCP consultant for Stamford and Greenwich. I spent more than a decade in the early childhood world, both in the classroom and administration, before joining the ECCP. I have my BA in psychology and religion from Mount Holyoke College and MSW from UNC Chapel Hill. I grew up in this area (Westchester County and Fairfield County), and am excited to be part of the team serving young children locally.

As a passionate STEAM Specialist I am dedicated to fostering curiosity and creativity in preschool learners. Guided by my belief that learning is most powerful when it’s hands-on, playful, and student-centered, I create engaging experiences that encourage exploration and discovery across Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Committed to nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and unique strengths, I design a learning environment where critical thinking and problem-solving skills grow alongside imagination. Through collaboration with educators and families, I support an inclusive, joyful approach to early STEAM education that inspires a lifelong love of learning and innovation.

Empowering Programs started in 1986. Scott was a preschool teacher and enjoyed presenting evening parent workshops. Over the next eighteen years the presentations grew to a full-time profession. Scott currently performs more than 150 sessions each year throughout North America. Scott has been professionally working, playing, writing, and talking about children for over forty years. He teaches graduate level courses in "Challenging Behaviors," "Mentor Pedagogy," and “Perspectives in Leadership" and undergraduate courses in "Positive Discipline." Scott's first book "Positive Discipline - That Works!" is in its fourth publishing. His second book, "Intentional Language" was released in the fall of 2003. His newest reader, "This Child is Driving Us Crazy - What Should We Do?" helps adults develop an effective behavior plans for children with feisty behaviors.

I have been an early childhood educator for over 12 years. I am a mother to young 3 girls. I am the Nature teacher at First Presbyterian Church Nursery School and I fully believe in the benefit of outdoor education.

I am the Early Start Liaison in New Britain and Wolcott, as well as an Independent Consultant throughout the Hartford Region. I conduct trainings on many topics, but often around the Pyramid Model, Teacher skills, and ways to engage children around curriculum, executive function, and play.
